The Wind River Mountain Range boasts the largest active glaciers in the lower 48 states, hundreds of alpine lakes teeming with wild trout, abundant wildlife, and world-class fly fishing and mountain climbing. The unique setting of the Diamond 4 Ranch in Dickinson Park gives you access to 100,000 spectacular acres. Saddle up and join us for a real western adventure! There is something for everyone – families, groups, and individuals are welcome.
Jim Allen carries on the family tradition of hosting visitors in the spectacular Wind River Mountain Range as his grandfather did here in the 1920s. Jim & Mary love packing in the “Winds” and are dedicated to using the land wisely with minimum impact camping practices. The Diamond 4 Ranch gets its name from Allen’s horse brand which has a history from the days of the open range.
The Diamond 4 Ranch is proud to be named the BLM Outfitter of the Year in 1999 by the Bureau of Land Management, as well as the Shoshone National Forest Outfitter of the Year in 1997. Jim is a past president of the Wyoming Dude Ranchers Association and the Wyoming Outfitters and Guides Association.
Licensed Professional Outfitter since 1973.
Overnight wilderness pack trips are also available as an upgrade. You may also explore the nearby Wind River Indian Reservation, historic gold mining towns, Yellowstone Park, or go white water rafting. If the number in your party decreases from the number originally requested on your contract, the ranch must be notified 90 days prior to check-in or the requested number of guests on the reservation contract will be billed in full.
