Located in a beautiful mountain valley three miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, Shoshone Lodge and Guest Ranch has been serving guests for almost 100 years. With abundant wildlife, breathtaking vistas, and access to hundreds of miles of horseback riding and hiking trails in the Shoshone National Forest, Shoshone Lodge and Guest Ranch is the ideal place to reconnect with those closest to you, enjoy new friendships, and experience a truly relaxing western vacation.

Guests are invited to take part in as many daily activities as they choose, including two-hour and all-day horseback rides, breakfast and dinner rides (ATV access provided for non-riding guests), a guided trip into Yellowstone National Park, a float trip on the Shoshone River, dinner and a show at the Cody Cattle Company as well as the Cody Nite Rodeo, and a night of western swing dancing here at the Lodge. Alternative activities include hiking, wildlife photography, fishing (not guided), and opportunities to visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museum in Cody.

Meals may vary between family-style, campfire cookout, and plated fine dining but we always guarantee hearty western home cooking. Mornings will welcome you with a delicious daily breakfast bar. Lunch at the ranch will be a healthy variety of sandwiches and tasty sides. Picnic lunches will be provided for the days away from the ranch. Dinners are a chance to relax and recap the day with your new friends at the ranch. Enjoy a drink at the bar and some tasty appetizers before diving into some good old-fashioned home cooking with plenty of options for everyone and of course made-from-scratch desserts. We are happy to accommodate special dietary needs as well.

For almost 100 years, Shoshone Lodge and Guest Ranch has provided visitors with rustically beautiful lodging here in the Shoshone National Forest. Still owned and operated by the same family (now fourth-generation), we have 18 clean and comfy log cabins, each with unique layouts and features to make sure that you feel right at home. Our main lodge (constructed in 1924) provides a beautiful dining area, a fully-stocked bar, a living room with a large stone fireplace, and a front porch perfect for propping up your feet and enjoying the clean mountain air.

Prior to March 1 each year, deposits will be refunded minus a $100 per person administrative fee. On a one-time basis, reservations may be transferred to the next year with no loss of your deposit. After March 1 of each year, deposits are non-refundable. If we are able to rebook the reservation, we will refund your deposit less a $100 per person administrative fee. Travel insurance is available in order to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances interfering with your travel.

As members of the Dude Ranchers’ Association, we recommend using Travel Guard. Call 877-249-5376 to receive a quote. Insurance must be purchased within 21 days of your initial deposit.
