Preservation Fund Program
The Dude Ranchers’ Association in conjunction with its member ranches and the Dude Ranch Foundation have created a Preservation Fund Program to help support the continuation of the dude ranch industry and preserve this very special way of life and the environment in which dude ranches operate.
A small voluntary Preservation Fund fee will be added to your final bill at check out if the ranch you are attending participates in this program. This is not a program we require DRA member ranches to participate in, rather we give them the option to offer this program to their guests to help support the continuation of this great industry and way of life.
This nominal contribution directly supports the conservation efforts aimed at preserving the cherished traditions of the dude ranch industry and the iconic cowboy way of life. By participating, you’re not just enjoying an experience and great vacation; you are helping to ensure its longevity for future generations to relish and appreciate.
The environment and community in which Dude Ranchers’ Association members operate is a special one. We are sure you will agree or already agree after spending time at one of our member dude ranches! We truly hope you enjoy your dude ranch vacation and make incredible memories to last a lifetime! Be sure to encourage whatever DRA member ranch you choose to visit to participate in this program!

The Mission and Purpose of the Dude Ranch Foundation is to preserve the history and expand the knowledge of America’s dude ranching industry through the Foundation’s Heritage Museum, research archives, educational programs, conservation, and workforce development.
