In the last six months, the Dude Ranchers’ Association has added four wonderful Dude Ranches in 2 different states to our membership. We are delighted to welcome them aboard!
TA Ranch is situated between the Bighorn Mountains and the Wyoming plains, offering guests an authentic cowboy experience. Whether you’re an experienced rider or a novice, TA provides a mix of hands-on cattle work, trail rides, and farm-to-table dining. The ranch, a restored Wyoming Territorial Homestead, is a perfect spot for history enthusiasts, with tales of the Johnson County War echoing around its buildings.
Powderhorn Ranch – Douglas, Wyoming
The Powderhorn Ranch, a family-owned and managed working cattle ranch, spans approximately 12,000 acres. The ranch houses over 100 horses and 150 breeding Angus cows with Charolais bulls. It boasts an extensive horse breeding and training program. Situated in the southwest of Douglas, Wyoming, the ranch enjoys a rich wildlife presence, including elk, mule deer, white-tail deer, antelope, turkeys, and more. Offering various activities like fly-fishing, mountain biking, and horseback riding, the ranch also features the Heritage House showcasing memorabilia from 6 generations of Wyoming pioneers.
