The Powderhorn Ranch is a family owned and operated working cattle ranch, with an extensive horse breeding and training program and   featuring hospitality. The ranch operates on approximately 12,000 acres with over 100 head of horses and 150 breeding Angus cows with Charolais bulls. The Powderhorn Ranch is easily accessible and is located in the Northern Laramie Range 25 miles southwest of Douglas WY at the end of the pavement on WY Highway 91 (Cold Springs Road). The ranch is blessed with abundant wildlife including elk, mule deer, white tail deer, antelope, turkeys, and black bear.

Activities include horseback trail rides, hiking, photograph taking, fly fishing, mountain bicycling, tours of the ranch, horseback riding introduction to horse training  and weddings.

Meals are primarily served family style in the Main House for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Occasionally picnics are served outdoors for trail rides and other outings.

The Heritage House, 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, features family memorabilia reflecting 6 generations of Wyoming pioneers. A fully equipped kitchen and comfortable great room assure happy guest gatherings.  The DM Arena, home of the annual Diamond McNabb Ranch Horse Sale, features two dormitory type bedroom suites ideal for families.  Two Queen en-suite rooms occupy the arena third floor.  A 2nd floor gathering space includes full kitchen and views into the arena interior. Hearty home-style meals please the pallet in the True’s home just across the way from the Heritage House.  Gather round the tables and make new friends.

Dogs are not allowed in either the Heritage House or the housing area of the DM Arena.
