The Klondike Ranch is an historical, working cattle ranch, nestled in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains of north central Wyoming, and has been in our family since the 1920's.
We invite you to take part in our way of life, and experience the thrill of a real Western ranch in the beautiful atmosphere of the Old West.
Our guests become a part of our family and we take great lengths to ensure you are comfortable, well fed, taken care of and get as much riding in as you can handle. At Klondike, we enjoy welcoming our guests into our way of life and believe it is our duty to make your stay here as memorable and enjoyable as it should be.
We run 200 head of mother cows and 100 head of yearlings on mountain summer pasture, which means we have a lot of riding and cowboying to offer our guests. 90% of our work is done on horseback, and, among other activities, you get to help with the saddling up and daily tasks associated with a working ranch, here at Klondike.
Some Activities Include:
- Herding Cattle
- Ranch Work
- Overnight Camp Out
- Fishing & Hiking
- Photography
- Historical Tours
- Rodeos
- And So Much More...
In our family since the 1920s, our ranch has a lot of history and is centrally located giving us the ability to visit many historical sites and museums. We offer an amazing historical tour including a famous battle site of the Johnson County Cattle wars, the Jim Gatchell museum in Buffalo, Ft. Phil Kearny, the famous Don King museum and Kendrick Mansion in Sheridan, and more.
Owners, Richard & Patty, are very knowledgeable and love to share our stories, history & the Legend of Crazy Woman with our guests, much of which you'll probably hear around the supper table.
Accommodations consist of private, modern, comfortable cabins each with their own bathroom, porch space, refrigerator, bedding, towels and more. Some have a kitchenette and all have a breathtaking view of nature's majesty.
And, at the end of the day, you can soak in nature's beauty while you soak in our outdoor hot tub.
From everyone here at Klondike, we welcome you to our way of life and look forward to helping you experience an amazingly memorable vacation.
And remember, though you may arrive a guest, you'll always leave as family.
