About Crossed Sabres Ranch

Welcome to Crossed Sabres Ranch. We are excited that you are considering having the vacation of a lifetime with us in the beautiful mountain country of Wyoming. Established in 1898, and located a short eight miles from the east entrance to Yellowstone, you will enjoy easy access to one of our nation's most dramatic national parks as well as the opportunity to experience many other activities such as the famous Cody Nite Rodeo, white water rafting, clay shooting, and most importantly: the opportunity to disconnect from the world and reconnect with family.

For the outdoor lover, the ranch sits on the banks of the North Fork of the Shoshone River, home to world class fly fishing and coveted Yellowstone cutthroat trout. Sitting within the 2.2 million acre Shoshone National Forest just outside Yellowstone, guests can experience an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities without stepping a foot off the ranch.

While our ranch is rustic, your stay will be in comfort with every need taken care of. Crossed Sabres Ranch is comprised of: an expansive main lodge that includes a western saloon, dining room, game room, ranch store, and reading room; 19 cabins situated around Libby Creek, which casually meanders through the ranch property; the barn and corral; a riding arena; and our log-framed pavillion with a campfire ring that's used for weekly cookouts and live music entertainment. Whether you head out for an all-day horseback ride, spend your day reeling in monster trout, or simply relax on your front porch to the sounds of Libby Creek, Crossed Sabres Ranch is sure to create lasting memories and the vacation of a lifetime for you and your family.

Dining Ranch Dining: While at the ranch, you certainly won't be going hungry. Our hearty western ranch cuisine is sure to keep you going as you experience everything the ranch has to offer. Whether eating in our spacious dinning room or outside at our weekly BBQ enjoying the views, meals certainly won't disappoint. We are certainly able to accommodate specific diets as need, just please be sure to give us a call ahead of time to discuss the specifics. If you find yourself hungry in between meals, dig into our bottomless cookie jar.
Activities Ranch Activities: Your stay at the ranch will be centered around horseback riding. Our riding is catered to your skill level and desires: be it a lesson in our arena, a short morning or afternoon ride, or an all-day ride with a packed lunch to explore beautiful meadows and high mountain views. But everyone gets a little saddle sore from time to time, so compliment our riding we also offer: world class fishing on the Shoshone River, guided van tours of Yellowstone's lower loop, white water rafting, clay shooting, archery, a full kids program, throwing axes, hiking, and a trip into Cody to experience the rodeo. Almost all of our activities are designed to be enjoyed by the whole family. Reconnecting with each other is one of the most important aspects of spending time with us at Crossed Sabres Ranch, and we strive to allow families to spend as much time together as possible.
Lodging Ranch Lodging: Crossed Sabres Ranch offers western ranch living with modern amenities in the beautiful Shoshone National Forest.
