Kara Creek Ranch

Kara Creek Ranch is an authentic working ranch where we run cattle on over 70,000 acres. The activities on the ranch are tied to the actual needs of the ranch and vary based on season. During your stay on the ranch, you may participate in brandings, round-up the cattle, drive them to summer grazing or winter pastures, learn how to repair and build fence and attend local rodeos and events.

The food at the ranch is typical cowboy-style food featuring meat (mostly home-raised), potatoes, pasta, and vegetables. During your stay, you will eat a large American-style breakfast with bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes, pastries, and fruit. Depending on the day’s activities, lunch is typically served on the trail and consists of sandwiches, chips, cookies, and raw vegetables. Each day is rounded out with a large dinner served family-style in the main dining area or outside if it is BBQ night! Vegetarians and special dietary needs are most welcome and catered for too.

We offer a comfortable, inviting environment with a variety of lodging options. The main ranch house is the primary gathering area to eat, relax or enjoy music in the lounge. In addition to the main ranch house, the ranch has multiple cabins available for your stay. Each room at the ranch features a comfortable space with either a shared or private bathroom, depending on your preference. Evenings are commonly spent in the Kara Creek Ranch saloon where you can relax with a drink of your choice while talking about the day’s adventures or dancing to the music of various country bands and local singers/songwriters.
