Guest Capacity

A Small Guest Ranch

Bonanza Creek is a small guest ranch, with just 8 – 12 guests at a time. We cater to those who love good horses, good riding, adventure, and personal attention. We are best known for our riding, cattle work, life-enhancing Cowgirl Retreats, and western hospitality. We feature adult-only weeks, intermediate and advanced rider weeks, as well as our life coaching Retreats.

Part of Voldseth Ranch

Bonanza Creek is part of the Voldseth Ranch, a working cattle ranch in the Mountains of south central Montana. It was homesteaded in 1877 when there were still buffalo and Indians — an authentic rich history.

We Treat You Like Family

We treat you like family – – real people on a real cattle ranch. Hearty home cooking and lots of it, and cozy comfortable cabins to call home.

Horses Chosen For Your Level

Our horses are ranch horses and are chosen for you by your level of ability. We have the tried and true and faster cow horses for the more advanced. There are new riding opportunities every day as well as team penning and cattle work. Best of all, you can ride to your ability.

A True Adventure

Bonanza Creek is a true adventure for your riding holiday. We hope you can come and share our western way of life.

Fish and enjoy the beauty and privacy of our own stocked lakes. Explore Montana while hiking, but be sure to take your camera along as you walk the wildlife trails. We have wagon rides and offer a chance to visit a ghost town – Castle Town was a boom and bust town in the late 1800s. See the Fourth of July and Labor Day Rodeos and visit Native American sites, nearby buffalo herds or prehistoric pictographs. Ease away your pain with a great massage!
