All of our activities on the ranch are included with your cost of the stay. While horseback riding and Gold Medal Fly Fishing are featured activities, we also offer our 1500 ft. Colorado River Zip Line, white water rafting, trap shooting, mountain biking, guided hiking, fishing the stocked trout pond, a full Ranch Kid’s program packed with activities and adventures, and nightly entertainment that everyone will enjoy! You can also choose to lounge around the heated swimming pool/hot tub, grab a book from the library, or sit and relax by the river.

Our head chef will keep you anxiously anticipating the next great meal. The signature cowboy cuisine definitely compliments the “Western Experience” you’ll find at the Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch. You’ll be able to taste devotion to the “lost art” of making stocks and baking own breads early every morning. You’ll love starting and ending your day with friends and great food as you plan and recap the day’s adventures.

Breakfast, with the exception of our famous Breakfast Ride, is prepared to order in our historic main lodge with daily specials and grab-and-go options available as well. Lunch is served buffet-style on our River Porch overlooking the Colorado River. Dinners alternate between real western cookouts and delicious plated meals back in our lodge, including Friday Night’s Adults-Only Dinner while the kids enjoy a homemade pizza and ice cream party on the River Porch. Some examples of our chef’s delicious specialties include: grilled steak and shrimp, smoked bar-be-que, fresh salmon, Cornish game hen, buffalo, wild boar pork chops, rainbow trout, prime rib, Pumpkin Ravioli and so much more! No one goes hungry around here and we can easily accommodate any dietary needs or restrictions.

Bar Lazy J’s unique location makes it the ONLY guest ranch where the Colorado River flows just a stone’s throw away. Fall asleep to the sounds of the water in the evening right out your window or take in the serene view as you enjoy a cup of morning coffee on your porch. Each of our cabins features beautiful furnishings and one-of-a-kind handmade beds. Although you likely won’t be spending much time in your rooms with all that’s available to you, we recognize the importance of comfortable beds and soft linens after a long day of outdoor adventures.

Our cabins, which are cleaned daily and given an evening turndown service, can comfortably accommodate from two to eight guests depending on the particular cabin. Each cabin offers an open or screened-in porch within view and a short walk of the river and when you call, we’ll help match you with the perfect cabin(s) available to meet the needs of your family. Within you’ll find King or Queen-size beds, twin beds in the 2nd bedrooms, dressers, closets, lovely western furnishings, bright rugs, and a variety of modern-day amenities, such as soft linens, coffeemaker, refrigerator, and much more.
