February 13, 2026| Cody, Wyoming – The Dude Ranchers’ Association (DRA) successfully concluded its landmark 100th Centennial Convention, held January 26–30, 2026, at The Northern Hotel in Billings, Montana. The five-day gathering brought together more than 275 attendees, representing 57 DRA member ranches, 26 vendor companies, and 23 sponsors, along with industry partners and Western heritage advocates from across the United States and Canada.
The historic convention celebrated a century of dude ranching while setting a strategic vision for the next 100 years. Programming included association business meetings, professional development sessions, and industry discussions focused on conservation, guest experience, workforce development, and the evolving landscape of Western hospitality.
Attendees also participated in special centennial events honoring the DRA’s legacy, including the premiere of the WYPBS documentary Call of the West, a commemorative anniversary banquet and auction, and historical presentations highlighting the association’s impact on Western culture and tourism since 1926.
Educational highlights featured keynote and industry presentations addressing conservation, marketing and artificial intelligence, employee relations, labor laws, and the long-term stewardship of the Western industry. In addition, members engaged in collaborative roundtable discussions to exchange best practices and practical strategies for strengthening operations, guest experiences, and business sustainability.
“Celebrating 100 years of the DRA is both humbling and inspiring,” said Hunter Sullivan, DRA President and owner of CM Ranch in Wyoming. “This convention was a powerful reminder of the resilience, dedication, and camaraderie that have defined our association since 1926. As we honor our past, we are more energized than ever to support our members and preserve the cowboy way of life for generations to come.
Under the leadership of Executive Director Bryce Albright, the DRA used the Centennial Convention to reaffirm its commitment to preserving Western heritage while embracing innovation in ranch operations, conservation, and guest experiences.
“Our 100th Convention marked a pivotal moment in DRA history – both a celebration of our heritage and a meaningful step forward in shaping the future of dude ranching,” said Albright. “Standing alongside our members for this milestone was truly humbling and reflected the heart of who we are: hardworking, collaborative, and deeply committed to preserving Western heritage while ensuring our ranches remain vibrant destinations for guests and future generations.”
The DRA extends its gratitude to all sponsors and supporters whose contributions helped make the Centennial Convention a memorable and impactful celebration for members and guests alike.
Founded in 1926, the Dude Ranchers’ Association represents more than 90 accredited dude ranches across the American West and remains dedicated to preserving authentic ranch experiences, land stewardship, and Western hospitality.
