Enjoy horseback riding in the scenic Baboquivari Mts and open desert country. Small guided rides are organized daily according to suit riders’ interests and abilities. Take a relaxed walk or a vigorous hike. Play at the tennis court or 50″ heated pool or enjoy shuffleboard, ping pong or horseshoes, or the well-stocked library. Bring your camera and binoculars – the wintering birds of Southern Arizona are numerous and colorful, views are magnificent and spring flowers can be glorious.

Hearty meals & fresh baked goods. Breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, morning pastries, steel-cut oats, or homemade granola & hot breakfast to order. Seasonal lunch entrees with fresh fruit and veggies and a bountiful cookie platter. Lunch on the trail several days a week if you choose. Enjoy supper in the dining room or outdoors on the patio, warmed by friendship and fireplaces. Meals may also be taken to your cabin take-out style. Mesquite BBQ twice weekly. Guests enjoy cocktails in their cabins before supper or BYO in a glass. Happy to accommodate special needs.

Elkhorn provides comfortable spaces for singles, couples, or families. Cabins are equipped with private baths, electric heat, and good reading lights. Some have separate sitting rooms or fireplaces – no television or phones in the rooms. Accommodations are scattered throughout the mesquite to provide privacy and seclusion for rest, sunning on chaise lounges, writing, reading, or socializing with friends or family. You’ll find a bird feeder outside your door & as much birdseed as you care to feed.
